Cytotherapy: Volume 25 (Issue 1 to Issue 12)
Cytotherapy is the official journal of the International Society of Cell and Gene Therapy (ISCT) and focuses on publishing innovative and high-quality scientific and clinical studies in the fields of cell and gene therapy. The journal accepts a range of article types, including Short Reports, Full-Length Articles, Editorials, and Review articles.
The journal welcomes manuscripts that explore various topics related to cell and gene therapy, including the development and characterization of novel gene therapies, cell-based therapeutics, and extracellular vesicle (EV)-based therapeutics. It also covers the design of innovative therapeutic approaches utilizing cell, EV, or gene products, as well as the mode of action of these therapies in relevant cell-based and pre-clinical models. Additionally, the journal considers manuscripts focused on identifying novel biomarkers that predict the efficacy of cell, EV, or gene therapies, and stratify patients based on their response rates. The role of stem/stromal cells and EVs in disease pathophysiology, as well as important advances in cell, EV, and gene-based product manufacturing and validation, are also within the scope of the journal. Furthermore, Cytotherapy publishes studies on early and late-phase clinical trials evaluating the safety and efficacy of cell, EV, or gene therapies, and explores global/regional regulatory practices that impact the authorized use and regulatory approval of these therapies.
However, Cytotherapy does not publish manuscripts on case studies unless they have exceptional significance to the field. It also does not typically publish basic or translational studies focused on the role of long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs), circular RNAs (circRNAs), and microRNAs (miRNAs) in disease pathophysiology. Additionally, studies describing signaling pathways implicated in cancer are not within the scope of the journal.
In summary, Cytotherapy provides a platform for the dissemination of novel research findings and advancements in the field of cell and gene therapy, fostering the progress and understanding of these innovative therapeutic approaches.
