As the official publication of the Society for Adolescent Health and Medicine (SAHM), a multidisciplinary organization dedicated to advancing the health and well-being of adolescents and young adults, the Journal embodies one of the Society’s primary objectives: the development, synthesis, and dissemination of scientific and scholarly knowledge specific to the health needs of young individuals. To fulfill this mission, the Society established The Journal of Adolescent Health in 1980, thereby creating a platform to facilitate the exchange of crucial information and insights in the field.
